Throughout the story, author Jamie Burn tackles environmental issues in a childfriendly way, as he believes these ideals should be implemented from an early age, along with positive messages about responsibility, self-esteem and growing up – other themes featured throughout the book. Jamie, who is available for interview, grew up in Newcastle Upon Tyne. He was awarded a first in Philosophy at Sheffield University and a Masters with distinction in Policy s tudies at Edinburgh University before joining London-based think tank, Policy Exchange. He went on to work in the biotechnology industry as a policy officer. The Little Boy with his Head in the Clouds is based on his memories of weekends with his grandparents in the Tees Valley. Jamie Burn lives in South Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.
