Mini nom nom’s new healthy ‘Gruffalo’ ready meal for kids and grown-ups

Mini nom nom’s – The new healthy world food brand for kids and grown-ups!

Mini nom nom’s is pleased to announce the addition of The Gruffalo British Roast Chicken Dinner as it launches its range of healthy world-food inspired ready meals.

With no added salt or sugar, preservatives or additives the free range roast chicken comes with Yorkshire pudding, broccoli florets, sweet potato wedges and gravy. As if that wasn’t enough, there is also a delicious dessert of chocolate pudding and chocolate sauce to tuck into afterwards as a real treat for the taste buds! Kids will love to mix, dip, pour and sprinkle as they explore the rich flavours of the classic roast dinner with a Gruffalo twist.

Mini nom nom’s is a range of healthy world food for kids and grown-ups inspired from exotic locations and authentic cuisines from around the world. Just heat and serve in 2 minutes!

With no added sugar, salt, additives or preservatives, the authentic dishes are made with at least one of the five-a-day recommended fruit and vegetables and in some cases more than one.

Mini nom nom’s is breaking boundaries as the meals are not processed but instead have the essence of home cooking in every bite. This has been achieved under the guidance of culinary spice expert Emma Grazette, co-author and star, of book and TV Programme, Spice Trip. Every dish in the range has been expertly crafted with child friendly spices and quality ingredients that truly make the mouth water in anticipation.

The new healthy food brand is the brainchild of entrepreneur Lisa Sohanpal and her husband Dr Imrat Sohanpal.

The five meals in the range inspired from world food include the Tiny Tagine from Morocco, the Little Laksa from Malaysia, the Tiny Thali from Southern India and two Tiny Tiffins from Northern India.

“The great thing about our meals is that apart from being good for developing bodies and healthy, they are compartmentalised into two courses and include a dip or chutney. This means children can enjoy exploring their food, mixing, pouring, dipping and sprinkling. It makes discovering new flavours a fun activity as well. These meals are ideally suited to busy parents who want quick-to-prepare, healthy, fun food for their children,” explained MD, Lisa Sohanpal.

She added: “We had such phenomenal feedback in our early development stages from parents and the trade, saying that we really should be making these healthy, delicious meals for adults too, so that’s exactly what we did. We realised that adults also enjoyed and benefited from these meals so we are launching a version for grown-ups which is being sold through Selfridges and which is available online with Ocado. This is very exciting. The meals are larger portions and are every bit as tasty.”

On The Gruffalo launch:

“It’s been really hard to keep this big secret from everyone because we have known for some time now that we were going to announce this at Jamie Oliver and Alex James’ The Big Feastival event, so we are delighted to finally tell everyone about it! It’s such a great tie-in to have one of the most well known children’s book characters for our new British themed ready meal. Story telling for children is very important to our brand, as is providing a healthy meal that children can really explore for themselves. The Gruffalo is also a story that Britain is proud of. For these reasons we see Gruffalo as a brilliant fit for our new British themed world meal,” said Managing Director of Mini nom nom’s, Lisa Sohanpal.

Daryl Shute, Brand Director at Magic Light Pictures added; “We always look for interesting and exciting partners to work with and Mini nom nom’s is certainly both of these. What they have created with their new range of children’s convenience meals is very unique and it was evident from the beginning that we shared the same brand ethos of delivering quality products.

“Expanding the Gruffalo brand into food and drink categories this year, we’re seeing a really positive reaction from retail and there are lots more things to come. The Gruffalo nom nom’s is an excellent addition and one we’re very proud of.”
