As studies suggest that people who typically eat breakfast have lower levels of stress and higher levels of concentration than people who skip breakfast, the nation’s citizens are invited to pay attention to their health and be a part of raising important funds that will help children with illnesses all over the UK through ‘Wallace and Gromit’s Big Breakfast.
The fun fundraising effort will run from April 22 and is an excellent way to increase the nation’s awareness of the advantages of waking up to a BIG Breakfast, setting the children up to a sunnier day, as well as making a significant difference to the lives of these sick children in hospitals and hospices.
Wallace & Gromit’s Big Breakfast – which is sponsored for the 2nd year by Foresters – the international financial services organisation – saw over 100,000 people take part in 2012. It is hoped that this year, even more people will host a Big Breakfast and help raise over £50,000.
Steve Dilworth, Managing Director, Member Network UK at Foresters, says: “Foresters champions the well-being of families through quality life insurance, unique member benefits and inspiring community activities.
“We are proud to once again be sponsoring this event. Healthy families need a healthy breakfast and in supporting the Big Breakfast we want to encourage lots of families to have a fun together, sharing healthy family time over breakfast and raising much-needed funds for Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation.”
Creator of Wallace & Gromit and trustee of the Children’s Charity, Nick Park, comments: “The Big Breakfast is a great way to start the day and to help sick and terminally ill children in the UK.”
Since 2003 over 800,000 people have supported Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s charity, helping children in over 87 children’s hospitals and hospices across the UK and 18,000 families every year.
