Childline Rocks offers guitarists the chance to break a world record

Taking place in Coventry, at the Ricoh Arena, Childline Rocks is an event which is going to see attempts to break four individual world records. The event is going to take place on 14 October and it is expected that around 7000 guitarists are going to turn up and pay the entry fee of £30.

The event is going to see guitarists come together and attempt to break the record for the largest music lesson ever held, the largest guitar ensemble and also the record for the largest number of guitar amplifiers being used at the same time.

Everyone who goes to the event is going to be given a free guitar amp, the Marshall MS2 and they will be encouraged to raise sponsorship money through a Just Giving account. It is hoped that the event is going to raise around £250,000 for their chosen charity, Childline.

Yamaha will be hosting the world’s largest Music lesson that will be led by Guitar Ace Soren Andersen.

It promises to be a great day, excellent opportunities to meet like minded people and play your part in such a historic event- Guinness World Records experts will be on hand to monitor efforts to smash all 4 world records consecutively. Centrally located Coventry has great transport links so it’s a doddle to get to, bring your friends rock out and make a massive contribution to Childline – one of the UK’s most valuable charitable causes.
